Swim Meet Pro Tips

DOLPHINS ARE RESPECTFUL

Please follow signage for parking. Do not park in stalls designated for the NWC HOA office. Parking at home meets is also available at NWC Elementary. Do not take up more space than necessary. Some of our competitor teams are even bigger than ours; that makes for quite a crowd. Do not crowd the pool perimeter - take a photo then step away after your child's even. The best view is afforded to those who volunteer as timers, so SIGN UP!

BE PREPARED
Bring camp chairs, sunscreen, towels, goggles, swim caps, water, and snacks. Coolers are allowed. Spectators may not bring pop up tents inside the pool area at home meets.
Prepare your swimmer by writing a grid of their events, heats, and lane assignments on their arm with a Sharpie.

EVENT/HEAT/LANE/STROKE

HELP US HELP YOUR SWIMMER
Swimmers will be organized by age groups throughout the meet. Tent watchers/runners will help get swimmers to the ready benches in time for their events IF THEY ARE WITH THEIR AGE GROUP. If they leave the "tent" area, they are likely to miss their event. It happens every meet! Encourage your swimmer to stay in their age group's area.

THE HEAT SHEET
The heat sheet is like an agenda for the swim meet; it will be emailed to you the night before the meet. A heat sheet lists the meet events in order with swimmers arranged in various heats for each event.
Events are organized by age group as follows - girls first, then boys
